Evike ships via UPS, UPS charges you what ever they feel like for duty/importation charges, typically anywhere from 50 to 80% of the product value, and this is on top of what/if Evike charges you for shipping. For example ordered $100 in accessories, UPS charged $80 in fees to release it to me. Same accessories in country would have cost $140 shipped. So an attempt to save $40 cost me an additional $40. And even with their "documentation" it can still get seized if the manufactures website does not match or if they do a test and it does not match. Or even if someone at the CBSA is just having a bad day and decides to seize it. |

^ That isn't correct regarding shipping. evike ships via USPS to here, just don't choose the UPS shipping method, which is usually the first one. And they do indeed provide documentation which is extra 8$ fee, I was lucky and my rifle made it past customs in 1 day.

Funny any order I did with them they used UPS and did not give me another option even when I called them, and UPS did charge that much each time for their fees. And you also said a key set of words: "I was lucky" |

I've ordered 5 times with them, each time USPS, even when I ordered 600$ worth of gear. Two friends also ordered, again USPS no problem. The "I was lucky" was for the passing customs. I'm aware it's not 100% chance but I believe they are a recognized retailer, and maybe their documentation is considered, better then a place that doesn't send docs. I took the chance for a huge discount and it all worked out. Before ordering I also consulted with 3 other people I know that had their rifles come in without a problem from evike.
Priority Mail is USPS, that's the correct one.

Well a quick look at a local Toronto Airsoft store (hint) has the exact rifle that they want for $450 and they wouldn't have to pay anything but taxes and the gas to get there.

theres a few shops in the GTA that either have or have access to that gun for round about the same price you'd pay to get it here minus the hassle

Bah, I missed it because I thought the TA page only had rifles that were on the featured part. I didn't bother to scroll down >_>
