Good quality waterproof boots in Canada

I don't know when those are from, but every time I've been in there I've had nothing but excellent service. They are also very helpful and will give you advice so you won't end up buying crap that will just fall apart. Ever since Viperfish went back there it has improved a lot. They have a lot better selection now, and will do quite a lot to get you what you want.

Things and people change. No argument about it. It was a few years ago. I was involved in "fixing" one of those bad deals with Hero a few years ago. Plus I heard that they actually jacked up a price for certain item because CF guys who were about to be deployed kept showing up to buy it before they leave. It was called a "demand" if I remember correctly. It just clicked when Hero was mentioned. Anyways, all those threads are here somewhere and if Hero changed their play, good for them.

I can't really say much for how they used to be, but I have been there multiple times, and I have no complaints. Their staff is very nice and very helpful. I have gone in there not really know what i might need, and walked out with gear that has worked very well for me in games, and so far has held up great.

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit, but I know they have a decent selection of boots right now.

Viper being there does help allot. He understands airsoft needs.

Army Issue or HERO will have surplus CDN Issue Gortex (Prospector) boots. As long as its not winder (snow or ice) they are tops in my books. I have three sets of them.

PROS:

Cheap (relative to new) and practically indestructible
Really hard to get them to leak
Warm but not too warm to wear in summer
Will reshape to you foot pretty well for surplus

CONS:

Heavy
Don't do well at all in snow or ice unless you get the sole redone to Vibrams
On some models water can get between the sole and the upper, making them quite loud until they drain

I love them, and just wore them all weekend working at Tough Mudder. Feet were warm and dry.

Picked up a pair from Hamilton Tactical. Read the reviews from off the website, I think they speak for themselves. These arn't cheap but they are well worth the money and will last many years for airsofting.

Water resistant will not live up to walking through a creek or wading through a swamp. :S

That's what I do. Though when it is cold out and you have to stay out in the field for a while water in the boots gets cold and socks, although keeping you dry, do not help with your feet getting cold fast. Have to dump the water when have a chance.

Stuck one of my feet into a creek recently with them on. The only thing that got wet was the top of my sock and the boot. Foot stayed dry. I've ran them in all kinds of weather (snow/ice, dry summer heat, cool/wet spring/fall) and have yet to find something to complain about.

Picked them up over at Bass Pro at least a year ago now or more.

I find Seal skin socks work at keeping my feet warmer then gore-tex. Love mine, very durable and work amazing.

Still rockin my north face.....walk through puddles for fun, laugh at fellow hikers as they struggle to cross a small creek. I'm actually going to ride them out as much as I can.

I've worn them:
Desert
Snow
Rain
Ice
4-6" deep creeks

They are comfortable enough to wear to work on Fridays or out and about. No change in driving ability. Insulated enough to keep you warm in the snow but not too much so they can be worn in arid temps.

The do not have vibram soles but a North face version.

They are 100% waterproof but can be 101% by sprayin them lol.

How often do you plan on walking through rivers and deep creeks for airsoft though? I have walked through a few shallow creek and my feet stayed nice and dry. Also have played in the winter and they stayed warm and dry. But what these boots are about is comfort. Its honestly like wearing running shoes out there.

I just spent 2+ hours out of 30 hours in a creek/swamp for airsoft. Some people play a little different than others.

EDIT: My Merrells (bless 'em) finally failed after two years and my feet were soaked. Wool socks paid off and I didn't get any serious foot issues, but they were raw and sore by the end of it all. We walked 14km (yay GPS) over the 30 hours, and my feet were wet in the first hour. I would have given my first born for a pair of good waterproof boots.

Jungle boots and sealskinz, best combo ever.
I'm on my second pair of sealskinz, I notice they tend to develop leaks pretty quickly, it's not bad but my feet are always wet after and it's not just sweat lol
Gotta find a tougher pair of socks, wouldn't mind something like a doubled up goretex, as long as it's not rubber.

Also, just noticed sealskinz has NEW socks out! =O
