US postal service issues

so over a month now, did you get yer stuff?
I spose you wont get any type of paypal refund or anything? Sorry if you posted a resolution i didnt see one when i skimmed through

ugghhh i dont like the idea of my $200 package shipping all the way from cali to ontario without tracking..... and if it shows up here sometimes the canada post guys dont leave a note if im not home. and it might get sent back to the states

Not to mention that im sure itll be kept at the border for a week since its a plate carrier

USPS First Class Package is cheap but the lowest rung for shipping parcels. I use it for small, low value items. More expensive than UPS Ground up front, but after customs its way cheaper and less hassle.

For anything else, Priority Mail International is the way to go: it has tracking and while more expensive that 1st class it's still way cheaper than UPS in the end.

Well apparently im with priority mail because i decided to give the tracking another shot this morning and i got a hit.

Service: Priority mail international parcels
Status: Electronic Shipping info received
Feb 20
Location: Blank
Features: International parcels

Whatever all that means....

Means the info was submitted (usually from shipping being purchased online, aka print your own) but it hasn't been scanned at an actual USPS location yet.

Dont tell me its still at the store??? or do you mean that it just hasnt been scanned meaning it could be anywhere? (because usps doesnt always scan)

as you can tell im a little obsessed with making sure my package gets here.... so bare with me. A $20 part i ordered from airsoftparts.ca, i tracked every few hours.... AND thats coming from Toronto area :|

It may not be "still at the store"; it may have been picked up/dropped off and not scanned yet. But unless they neglected to scan the package it isn't in the "pipe" yet, so to speak. And once it does get entered into the system, I find USPS scans a lot less than Canada Post does: you'll typically see an initial scan and then a 2nd scan when the package gets sent internationally, after which you should start tracking with CP (and there'll be a limbo period between the two).

A week at most usually barring the fact that something unexpected happens, they are severly backed up, or a postal employee makes a mistake.
