If the retailer is who i think they are i walked away from them long ago for the above reason and several more.

When i was at Hero i was able to bring in a shit ton of customers and never once sold a gun to someone under the age of 18 or to parents buying for there snot nosed kid.

Like Ozone said if a retailer is having trouble staying afloat selling to those over 18 with the crazy high markup we pay, they need to take another look at how they run things.

To play devils advocate... you read in the news occasionally of some kid who dies from alcohol poisioning. No one tries to blame the liquor store. Certain things, there is a understanding that if they are committed while under the proper age, lies with the individual or parent.

The problem is you have you prove that the retailer has knowledge that the buyer of the airsoft gun is intentionally purchasing it as a "straw buyer". If the retailer knows that he is selling the airsoft gun to someone, that intends to pass it on to a minor, that would be an offence.

But there is the wrinkle, you have to prove that the retailer knows this. Otherwise, just bad judgement.

I'm a young teen, I think that many kids are getting into airsoft by their friends and those stuff in the racks on walmart, I learned airsoft from my family's friend and that's how I knew about airsoft

I greatly understand the fact that kids can't be held responsible of their own actions, parents should not be allowing their kids to buy airsoft guns if they know that this kid will get in huge trouble, parents should make the child who wants to play Airsoft to raise their own money, it will be very unlikely that the child will be getting in trouble, it is like you earning your hard earned money and buying a car, on the way of saving you will keep learning about the things you want like airsoft and knowing more to be safe.

In the law buying airsoft guns are legal

''In Ontario, Saskatchean and British Columbia, the minimum age to purchase airsoft is 18. Children under age will be able to use firearms. Children under 8 must be supervised by someone over 18.''


For me I think that retailers should keep selling the way they are, many of you
will not agree and probably dislike this but just think, us kids are the next in line of the airsoft community so you know ease up on us.

This statement would be incorrect. Someone Under 18, but over 12 would be charged Criminally if needed.

But, if you review cases in the USA, luckily not here in Canada. There are a great number of Police Shootings, involving minors carrying an Airsoft Gun in the Public.

Just because you are a minor, does not mean you cannot be held accountable for your actions.

What are the odds of your Parents, constantly being in your immediate area, everytime you decide to use your airsoft gun. How about NEVER.
So you will be left unsupervised and to your own devices. Eventually you will get bored. That is when the terminal stupidity kick in.

That is very good that teens are held responsible for their actions and true that stupidity will kick in but it depends the the levels of stupidity like shooting cans in your backyard to playing in the park.

In almost all towns and cities in Ontario, it is illegal to shoot cans or anything in your backyard. Unless you live in on Rural Route or Concession Road, odds are it is illegal.

The police can not tell from a distance if you are holding a airsoft gun, a milsim paintball gun, a walmart airsoft gun painted black, a BB gun or a painted nerf gun.

If you point anything above that looks a firearm at the police they will use lethal force. People have been shot and killed waving a baseball bat and that does not look like a gun.
