I'm reasonably certain the two companies are in cahoots.

They're not, RA-Tech is making a fortune out of WE.

Look at RA-Tech vs Crusader (another Taiwan company we seem to make some stuff RA-Tech does) RA-Tech charges about 50-80% more than Crusader. I really wonder how big is there profit margin.

Their relationship is symbiotic however.. WE can cheap out on internal parts, and focus on externals ( which are rock solid) knowing full well that RE-Tech will fill the gap

I'm just glad to see an SBR (AK) platform coming out from WE.

When Beta Project came out with their MagK AEG, the first thing I thought was : I wish there was a GBBR version of this!

Would like to see a traditional AK-74M or a 103 instead of that.

This.

And yeah, I understand its a good way to make a profit, but its getting a little tiring when the companies are acting as if the whole 'vanilla' crowd has gone under. I'm certain if WE had tossed out a few AK's with full wood/polymer stocks and handguards, no rails aside from the side plate, a lot of people would eat that shit up too.

I'm currently in the process of turning a WE AK PMC into an AKM and i'm excited for when the project is done. I would've liked to have simply bought the gun as an AKM in the first place.

I love WE guns! I just wish that they weren't so gung ho about releasing tacticlol AK's. Lol.

You are missing the whole point of their plan..

They know that there are a lot of people waiting for an oldschool AK

at some point they will release one.. and cash in on that pent up demand

Hope they also do the Mag-K right, the Beta Project one has one ugly ass receiver. the best one built to date is still by "Noveske" but that is a purely custom gun made from a VFC ak105. Hope WE makes it look good
