well if anyone is seriously interested in this I have a US mailing address and can help you get it up to Canada.
plus it's free shipping in the US on their site right now. PM me and we can work out the details. |

Please make sure you update this thread with your choice.
I'd love to get a 1-4x optic to remove the need to carry bino's on the airsoft field. The mount you're looking at is the LaRue Tactical SPR 1.93", the LaRue SPR mount seems to be the most popular choice if you're going to drop the coin on a Short Dot. The anecdotal evidence seems the people that buy real S&B glass use the Primary Arms glass for training guns, no where near the same quality, but decent enough for a training gun... so I assum going to Airsoft this would also hold true. Are you going to be buying a cat tail for your glass? |

As far as the cat tail goes, I'm pretty sold on the MGM switchview but are there any other ones that look tacticool and/or high speed. Hell seems like everyone makes one.

I just ordered myself an Olivon 1.25-4x24 IR scope.... let's see how that one performs, since I've never heard of the company before looking for them...lol (should be here next week)
BTW: Yes the Larue mount is popular, but I highly recommend the ADM Recon mount! I have one , and gawd its sooo good! |

I'm interested in seeing the fitment of your scope to the cat tail, as they're so specific. Photos when you're done? |

@Oborous
I don't know if you're set on having a legit cat tail or switchview, but I have something cooking up in the next couple of weeks that I'll post on EAR. They will in all likelyhood be plastic though, unless people want to pay the same price as the real ones for an inferior metal.

I wouldn't object to plastic if it worked. Do one for a Nikon M-223.

So I ended up with the Vision King 1.25-5x26 scope. Talked to someone about it and apparently it's decent for ACM products, a step above your typical ACM stuff actually.
I might do a review on it if there's enough interest (but I still have to finish that GHK drop in kit first). Then when it comes in I'll have to source a cat tail that will fit it (reference pics lead me to believe that a cattail made for either a Burris, or S&B scope will fit it). Hopefully it won't be too hard otherwise I'll just skip this little piece of high speed tacticoolness.

(Not trying to be an ass, I want the Primary Arms, but that they won't ship to Canada... not ITAR, but their own internal policy) |

The vestor Arbiter 1-4x24mm scope is the exact same as the Millett 1-4x24mm!
Here's a head to head comparison! http://talks.guns.ru/forummessage/95/768241-0.html Its probs the same as the Primary arms one too, except for the reticle.... |

Mounted to a Leapers/UTG Accushot 1-4x28mm: They're reasonably tough. I wouldn't fall on or run into a tree with it or anything, but it definitely serves its purpose. I think in the future, I'll make them with only a single nut/bolt running opposite the handle. They're made of nylon by 3D printing via Shapeways. Anyone can make basically anything from there. I'll also offer my own CAD services for anyone so inclined. Danke, if you'd like me to draw one up for your M-223, I'm going to need to get my hands on one to properly measure it up, unless you'd like to send me yours or send me accurate dimensions. One of these costs about $25-30 + shipping and brokerage (comes from the Netherlands) and doesn't come with the screws/nuts/bolts. Since it's 3D printed, extravagant/complex designs aren't an issue either. I think threading an M3 screw directly into the plastic isn't too bad, but it probably won't last vs using a nut.
