Thanks for the tip regarding the sling. I usually just have it on for show and don't use it that much to carry the rifle with. Even so though, i was concerned that it may cause the body to break. How hard is it to put a metal upper and lower body on an sr16? Any particular body that you would recommend?

I have an G&P M4 SR16 w/reinforced gearbox, and one piece metal hop up on mine. If you ask my gunsmith, he'll tell you it was a bitch of a time putting it on, then again, the most troubles he had was the internals with the gearbox since the metal body from G&P often comes with one, as it was meant to fit with their metal body. Correct me if I am wrong somebody.

Not too hard. It depends on whether you get lemon or not. If you do, it'll need some filing around the body pins holes to get them aligned. I've only used Systema M16/4s metal bodies for my regular Armalites and so far I've not had a problem with them. It's alittle trickly to fit them but once you've done a few, it's easy.
