When I converted my PDW over to open bolt I didn't have to touch the trigger assemble but I did have to change the bolt catch.

Actually, the brass tube is an OLD design, much older than open bolt/GBB pistol systems. It was used in classic airsoft (Escort).

Well, it wasn't durable back then either, and it's been out of the loop too long with no real overhauls or upgrades.
Like AEP's, been around a while, but nobody really cares enough to make REALLY good upgrades lol

So if im looking to get the new M4 open bolt kit, I understand that the following wont be compatible:

-RA tech NPAS
-RA tech hop up kit

Anything else that would need to be changed? Would RA tech inner barrels and trigger assembly/mechbox need to be changed as well?

The inner barrels would need to change i believe they are compatible with hi capa hop up buckings (i think). Trigger assembly should be the same. Magazine feed lips would need to be changed as well.
