Depends if your going outdoor or in door.
First let me say that I own a lot of surefires. Everything from an e1e to the mighty M6.

The e series of lights from surefire is perfect for indoor (sometimes too much from the led series). The light bounce from these lights is intense, but on low setting should be fine.

For out doors, you want an incandescent.
They are better at color rendition and have farther reach into the dark.

For indoor choice and medium choice I would recommend the E2DL or the E1B.
For med to long range out door, go with the M3, m3t or the m6.

But if your on a budget, but you want that range you have to go for the m3.
It's a proven all rounder when it comes to set up. Get a used one, about 150ish if you can find one.

Good luck

I'd highly recomend you take a look at the Solarforce L2 lights. They interchange with the Surefire 6/9P type lights. You can find them on ebay for less than 20.00 shipped. They even have a single cell LED L2M.

Pick up some rechargeable 123's and the mount you posted in the first thread and you'll be set.
