Plastic doesn't always mean they're bad.

I have three Magpul PTS PMAGs and they're amazing.

The absolute best externally mags on the market are

Magpul PTS 120 round Midcaps, AND Realsword M16 Midcaps.

If they're actual Pmags and not the green label stuff, they're polymer, not plastic. Polymer>plastic.

But they do kick ass. I've never had a mag that worked so well.
