Long wait times are par for the course with Hobey at ICE Tactical. Imagine how the guys who actually NEED his gear feel.

Thanks for that. It's kind of what I feared.
"We expect the order to ship in 4 weeks". Okay. "We will contact you with projected shipping date". Er, okay. Where's my stuff...... "Stoney silence" If I don't get a response by the end of the week I think it will be cancellation time. If you're ever over this part of the world I'll give you a free bb or something. Thanks again. It's worth the wait. Altough it took some time, it's good stuff.

I'm dealing with Hobey for our group order from ICE. He seems to be a nice guy but his delivery times really suck. It's the same lame excuses I get from them.... "we're waiting for some material to come in, our supplier sent us the wrong fabric, we are using the wrong color thread because we ran out of the right color thread, your order is is almost finish but we ran out of zippers..."
I've been promise that our order is on the top of the list in priority but whatever that means is up to anyone's guess. I've been waiting over 3 months for them to finish my group order. It's one thing to order them and pay for it after they are finished but to have to pay right away and then wait till who knows when... Anyway, I've decided to cancel the second group order that I was going to do because of this problem of delivery. Vondnik, you're going to have to find another place to get your MC. I'm also surprise about the sewing on the ICE BDUs. The 8 pants that I received had kind of a rushed finished in the sewing. Not straight. Comparing it to DropZone sewing quality, I like the DropZone better. Both DropZone and Ice Tactical will give a 20% discount on quanity orders.

I bought a set from Dave's. Then I bought another set from ICE. I prefer the stuff from ICE.
I bought the ICE stuff after using the stuff from Dave's. It's serviceable, but has some weak construction points like the two strips of OD velcro on the arm (instead of a single strip of 4" coyote) and too-thin belt loops. |

Too thin belt loops suck ass. One of my annoyances with Frontenac cadpat stuff. Not only too narrow, thin material used that frays and falls apart.

I love OD with cadpat. I have all OD webbing and it blends in great with my cadpat uniform. Have to agree though, OD works pretty damn good in the woods.
