Yup they do....You'll note that my description stated SEALs Type pics. Also you could say that a FF RAS in 1998 would be out of place as well. But good catch.

Hi,
I'm doing a Navy SEALs mid 90s woodland/Riverside impression. I have the base load out done but I'm wondering what I'm missing. I have a; -Pantac 1195j in OD -Pantac versatile holster in RG (I'm sticking to this one because it works best for me) http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=26112 -Woodland, jacket and bouny hat -M4A1 Carbine with M203, ACOG and a Crain stock (for the battery. once again function over looks) -USP 45 tactical or Beretta M92FS Is there anything I need or should change besides the stock and holster?

Homemade, stop-gap measure during the transition from traditional BDUs to flame-retardant, moisture-wicking variants. For $30 you can buy a pack of cotton t-shirts and a roll of fabric from Fabricland and make your own. Your most expensive investment would be the velcro.

Hey I am new in this forum, just want to share my gear in here.

hey guys im trying to "realistify" my gears
im not specifically trying to do a SEAL impression, but a SOF impression overall, and i guess USASF and SEALS will be the closest to what im looking for at the moment i have an OD rav vest with 4 stanag pouches, a 4-pistol pouch at chest level, a radio pouch i also have a pair of nomex flight gloves, woodland TRU, and a pair of black swat boots(jungle boots way too heavy) i have a OD mich helm right now. im thinking of buying a black belt for the pistol holster, black kneecaps, and a woodland boonie i also have a hk416 and usp 1. what else should i get/do i need? 2. should i replace my mich with the boonie or a smaller helmet?(smaller for a lighterweight) 3. im buying from uncompany. will my usp work with other pistol holsters? like a glock one? or do i need a general one thanks for the help!! |

1. Vest Look at current and past pictures of US SF using the RAV. By and large they'll actually be CAG, but you might find a couple of gems in there too. The RAV has largely been seen using Paraclete pouches. Almost exclusively, really, since Paraclete offers the RAV in a package with a gazillion pouches. You're most accurate if you use Paraclete pouches. How you configure them on your RAV is up to you, but you can take a look here for ideas: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=23069 2. Gat Whole 416s have not been widely issued to SF. They have been to CAG, and some SF units have been running the 416 piston upper to M4 lowers. You might want to go with a plainer M4 SOPMOD of some sort. Again, look at pictures and accessorize accordingly. USPs are not in wide use with any US SOF unit. Mainstays for SF units are largely the M9 and sometimes 1911, NSW prefers the 226, and CAG happens to run Glocks. 3. Other Gear - Decide what kind of SOF look you want to pattern after. If it's greenside, the RAV will cook you. Switch to an H-type harness of some sort. If it's DA, the RAV is good. If you're looking to do some kind of desert thing, you might want to consider switching to khaki. - Get a pistol-specific holster. - look at pictures and determine what 'kneecaps' you need, if any. - Headgear should match the look you are pursuing.

seems like i'm stuck with CAG after all lol, and i dont mind (not a bad thing as CAG are pretty much one of my favorite SOF groups of all time along with the SAS) i run on a very very tight budget, so i guess i'll have to stick with what i have and pursue a CAG impression i wanted a mk23socom in the beginning, but i couldnt find any so i switched over to USP when i first started i was looking for something which can be used in both jungle warfare and DA or more flexible due to my tight budget but anyways in this case, then i guess i'll go with DA CAG then are there any photos of DA CAG in woodland? lastly will boonie still work with DA? i have a mich and i realize that thing is so heavy it gives me headache when i lower my head...now i get why SOF begin to prefer some lighter helmets i have a mich without the from rim. should i get those "bike helmet" or those ballistic ones that are even smaller (openings at ears primarily for headset) Last edited by ravan318; September 16th, 2009 at 03:40.. |
