Where I am, we have about half the guys wearing CADPAT TW and the other half religiously wearing multicam.
Through fall and early spring, mulitcam is hands down the better of the two. Cadpat is too dark (even when softened, many will switch to CADPAT AR or to Marpat). Once everything greens up, the positions of advantage change. Multicam sticks out like a sore thumb in green vegetation with no dead/sand material. It is simply too light to blend well in Temperate Woodland areas. They way I look at it, is that in any Temperate forest, during the green months.. CADPATshould be your choice, it was designed to excel in this environment. When Fall/spring hit, you have your choice between Marpat, CADPAT AR, ACU, or Multicam. I personally think multicam would be the better of the previously mentioned for fall/spring, as it will better mesh into a variety of wooded/non wooded areas as opposed to ACU or CADPAT AR. Marpat would be a close second choice, but it lacks the great multi-environment blending ability that Multicam has (ie; urban use and woodland use) You cant say Mulitcam is better than CADPAT and you cant say that CADPAT is better than Mulitcam. Each was designed for a different theatre and each does its job better than the other in its selected environment. I do think that mulitcam is superior to any pattern if used overseas in Iraq/Afghanistan/Middle East. It is too bad Crye and the US government had their disagreements, as it is a great pattern that has a ton of potential. |

What Pearson said - and well said at that. It's simply a tool, when used correctly - works to your advantage.

You have got to be one big fucking hick to need multicam, ACU and an Kalashnikov to hunt the ferocious little woodchucks terrorizing the nation. Good luck with your restaurant and clothing lines... :salute:

I have a personal prejudice for CADPAT. (yay digi!) I do like Multicam but take my word for it, CDN_Stalker doesn't look all that good in it.
You'd look better in a brown paper bag right Mike? Other than that I might get multicam. Maybe. It does work amazingly and unlike Mike I can make anything look good.... Megan

Heh, of course Megan.
Warmongers have adopted multicam as our other uniform, wear whenever but mostly during early spring and fall. Cadpat all other times (ok, haven't put a lot of thought into winter uniform yet.) Cadpat works very well in the places we play, as you can see in my sig........... |

Just a thought on that-
What with the evergreen-ness of Canadian forests (Point_Man) the ever-sexy Henry was goin' all out on a really nifty solution as per what to wear for winter games. I have a nifty pic of him that I'll send you Mike but a basic description of his set up was a ODjumper and white pants. Whenever he's not working he might elaborate ont hat thought. For now, I'll send you the pic Mike. Any one else want it for more details then above let me know. Megan
