How to remove blowback unit from tm hicapa
I'm swapping out my parts in my tm hicapa to a new metal slide, and I'm stuck on removing the blowback unit/piston. I've removed the screw that sits in front of the hammer, but it won't budge. Is there a method of getting it out, did I skip a step?

Stock plastic slide, right? You'll need to gently pull the slide open slightly to get/pry the unit out. Don't worry, the plastic can handle the abuse (provided you don't pull too hard).

OK, but how does it get into the less flexible metal slide? I guess I could ask the same for fitting the hop up/inner barrel assembly into a metal outer barrel/chamber.

Metal slides won't have the tabs that keep the unit from falling right out once you've removed the screw(s). It literally just drops into place.

Hold the slide with your thumbs on each side on the inside, roughly where the blowback unit is. Push the sides apart, and try to get a fingernail in between the blowback unit and the slide at the back by the screw hole. If you can use that as leverage while pushing the sides of the slide apart slightly, you should be able to get the unit out without too much fuss.
