Didn't deal with them directly if you're wondering about the company itself, but if you're wondering about the food they appear to be rebranded Sopakco/Crown Point SurePak MREs. I recall ingesting at least one in my time at the surplus, but all I really remember was that the two major selling points in the bona fide US issued MREs -- the bottle of tabasco and the pop tart -- seemed noticeably absent from the civvy version (maybe it was just the menu I chose, but disappointing is disappointing).

edit: found more info. Does appear they are indeed Sopakcos, but the menus seem to be modified from the US SurePaks -- looks more like what you'd find in an IMP.

Creative Sporting Goods sells US meal ready to eats for $13 each and $120 for a box of 12.

I've dealt with Meal Kit Supply directly. I got one case, shipped reasonably...about $13 a meal.

They shipped using Purolator though, so it was a hassle to get...that's about it.

Good food too...for MREs.

I've bought directly through them as well about a year ago. Pretty good stuff still have some of their mre's left.
They are sopackcos, ended up bwing about 14-15 with the fameless ration heater, great for camping and over night games.
Have your meal hot makes a big difference. Taste wise I prefer imps but mres are waterproof and have less packets. Although imps come with whackloads of condiments and a pack of matches per meal.

All my USGI MREs have come with more condiments than I ever use (including the little Tabasco), as well as matches and TP (or napkins if you will).

I think personally $120 for a case is attrocious, I bitched about paying $160 US for 2 cases of USGI, including shipping, and before that I complained about paying $120 for 2 cases.

Inflation I guess.

well there doesn't seem to be another place to get large quantities legitimately. Cheapest I gotten so far was 40 for a case of imps off a cf member here but that was a one time thing.
Can't really depend on the surplus unless its for immediate consumption.

Just did a quick search on their site, and they have them again I guess....costco can be hit and miss on stuff, some things are only in once, but I guess they brought these back.

125.00 with s & h isn't too bad either I guess..

I just looked in the menu and two of the breakfasts are omelettes. Except for the people who served you can't know what that means. It is inedable, period. My section commander told me that they use to waterproof their boots with them. So you are actually paying $125 for 10 MRE's.

I'm curious to try a case of those this year.

I bought a case of "Menu C" from mredepot.com* last year, except for UPS trying to screw me over on custom brokerage fees by charging me 55$ extra for the "service" (only had to pay four loonies to the CBSA after filling out some simple paperwork myself), those civvie MREs were definitely worth it.

The entrées are the same as in a real MRE but Menu-C lack the side dishes, instead, you get a few extra snack and dessert items, substitutions are frequent and can lead to a lack of variety, I ended up with the same snack items combo (oatmeal cookies, cinnamon scones, osmotic raisins & hot tamale candies) four times in a row while camping and couldn't care less, was nice to have sundry items to munch on in between meals.

I kept the Omelet w/ veggies for last as I dislike egg based dishes but it was surprisingly good, topping it with Tabasco only made it better. Then again, I thoroughly kneaded it into a mushy pulp before I dropped the pouch into the heater and made sure not to look at the content as I was eating it out of the pouch.

* Make sure you check the mreinfo.com forums if you do decide to do business with those guys, quite a few people reported that a whole lot of items were missing from their Menu-C. I was lucky and only had a single Menu-C with items missing, namely the cheese spread (which was a huge disappointment since that cheese spread is to die for), BBQ sauce and accessory pack in the meatloaf menu. I dropped the owner an email to let him know, he apologized and sent me a bunch of spreads, sauces and crackers.
