CA M15A4 Sportline compatibility

Hey guys, i just got a CA M15A4 Sportline, and i was looking for some upgrade items, but all i seem to find is for the M4 and M16...are they compatible with the m15a4? parts such as grips flash hiders stocks and mags? Can't seem to find much info on this

"M15" is just what CA calls their M4/16s. CA's M15s are just Marui copies like almost everyone else.

so what your saying is there completly compatible? like if i wanted to by a metal body or what ever the part may be it should work fine? sorry i just want to completly understand before I by any parts

Yes. M15 = M16 = M4 for parts compatibility (assuming they are all marui compatible, which every major brand is).

Internally and externally you can use pretty much anything that is made for TM. The only catch to Classic Army M4/M16 models is externally when it comes to mounting RIS/RAS units. The upper receiver on the CA's are a bit higher than Tokyo Marui, and other brands.

You can certainly mount a railed front end onto a CA, but keep in mind that the top rails on the front end and the top of the receiver won't be at the same level. The RIS/RAS top rails will be slightly lower. This also means that most brands of CASV rail system are incompatible with the Classic Army receivers.

This refers to CA's metal body models. However, I am going on the assumption that the plastic body Sportline versions are made to similar dimensions as their metal counterparts.

From what I've seen, CA Sportline are closer to being TM clones than their full metal counterparts. I haven't heard anything about the rails being wider.

Then again, I've never had issue with the metal CA rails on the standard bodies either, so...

I'm currently running a CA m15a4 (which is now turned m16 rather than the carbine) and i'm really happy with it. the gun shoots awefully fast so you'll need to invest in better mags than the hicap, it doesnt really catch up all that well with the rate of fire.
As for the rails? There isnt any size difference that I can see. everything i've mounted on mine fits snug.

Just to clarify...

The rails are standard width on the CA, no issues there, as is the actual height of the rail attachment itself. But the overall rail height is different due to Classic Army upper receivers being slightly taller than TM and others. When you mount a railed front end, other than CA brand, you will more than likely see a height difference between the receivers top rail, and the top rail of your RIS/RAS system. It seems to be about 2mm or 3mm.

This is why many people wanting to mount a CASV on their CA's are usually SOL, since the extended top rail needs to be at the same level in order to mate properly with the rail on top of the receiver. In the end, unless you plan to mount optics on the top rail which may straddle both the front end and receiver there won't be any issues.
