Need some help.
Hello I am new to airsoftcanada and would just like to say hello. I have recently bought a G&G M16 A3 and have yet to shoot it as I just got it today, but I have noticed there is no orange tip on it as I am accustomed to. I would just like to ask whether or not it is required by law to have one or not?
Thanks, Matt |

It depends on where you live. In Canada no, In the US yes.

It's a misconception that Canada requires the orange tips by law. Yes a lot of places do sell with orange tip (eg. dollar store cap guns) but I suspect it's because they get their products shipped from the US or they get them shipped from Asia with the orange tip because they don't want to make 2 versions of their cap gun or something just for US and other countries.
In short, no you don't need to paint an orange tip on it or anything. That is unless you are wanting to go to the US and back and in that case to go into the US you'd require an orange flash hider and to get back into Canada you'd need a clear receiver (so don't paint it black if you want to go back and forth along the border and get an orange flash hider to comply with US law).
