bunch of questions....
Hey,
So im running a lipo battery, 11.1v 20c 1600mah in my custom m4. It has all the usual upgrades ie; piston, piston head, modify gears, nozzle, tappet plate, cylinder, metal bushings....and so on. Shoots 370 fps, drains a 68rd TM metal mid cap in about 3 seconds. 1.My question is, would it be worth while for me to run a "sector gear clip" in my mechbox. 2.My motor gets hot when i go full auto(10-20rd burst), thats pretty recent thing to happen, should i change my motor. Which one do you guys think i should get, systema turbo, magnum or something else. Thanks Beach

You shouldn't need a sector gear clip as long as you are not suffering any misfeeding (ie, your mag can't keep up).
You may be exceeding the operational limits of your motor in respect to power demand (load over time). I can't help you on motor recommendations though, I don't use AEG motors.

As said, no chip needed unless you're dry firing on bursts.
You didn't say which motor you've got in there...if you're shopping for a motor, the guarder infinite torque up is a solid bang for you buck. G&P M120 motors are good value as well. Make sure you're motor connectors are tight. |

20c is alittle too much for airsoft, you should use lipos with 12C.
The motor can get hot because of a few reasons: 1.The spring is too strong 2.Bad shimming(Too tight, too many shims) 3.Bad motor adjustment(Too tight up) There are more but that's usually the case. Most of the time it's reason 2 or 3 for gearbox virgins who just got into tuning. |

the motor is a EG 1000, i have the modify gearset so their is no shimming required, motor is adjusted perfectly....the lipo battery is the one from airsoftparts.ca that fits into the buffer tube.
