Molded 1911 Holster for TM with Metal Kit?
Having brought my Fobus with me last time I went home. I tried my 1911 in it and to my dismay it no longer fits. Its way too tight even with the adjustment screw loosen the whole way. It fits perfectly before with the stock TM frame, now I think the dustcover portion is more square and that its interfering with the holster. I am wondering if anyone have any experience with other brand and have better result? My other requirement is that it needs to have an open bottom so my comp can stick through it....

I use a clone 1911 Serpa and it works great with my TM Hicapa 5.1 and Guarder Springfield metal slide. You just have to make a tiny modification to the holster.
EDIT: Oops I thought you had a Hicapa. Ok you won't need to make any modifications! It should fit perfect. Last edited by Styrak; September 19th, 2008 at 05:49.. |

I use my Nova Kimber Warrior kit in a Safariland 6004 and it fits perfectly.
Specifically, it is the 6004 made for Kimber Warrior (Custom II TL w/ Streamlight M6 Mount). Just need to order the proper one for your gun - they have a mind boggling variety to choose from. |

On a side note, I've been looking for a 6004 that can hold a Kimber Custom TLE II with a 610R with no luck. I've found some that should hold a Colt 1911 Gov't with 610, but does anyone know if that will work? I'd hate to spend $140... and not get it to fit! lol. The only other light options with the kimber were X200/X300 and the m3/m6... Stupid discontinued products!

Eew... it's also hideous. Get rid of it and get an M3 at least. You can get brand new real M3's for as low as $80 - that's the same price or even cheaper than some replicas out there.

Yeah I know it looks like an elephant dick, but I was going for the LAPD impression. I have a Wilson Combat that I might get the M3 for though.
