I use these pants and I love them!!! I have played for over a season here in British Columbia with these pants and they held up great to the rock abrasions and wear and tear of everyday gaming. The knee pads work fine they are only maybe 1/2 inch thick but serve the purpose. They are in no means as protective as a full knee pad. I am a 5.11 dealer as well and have not had one bad comment from any customers on these pants. Give a pair a try I am sure you will be pleased.

Absolutely head and shoulders over BDUs.
Yes, they have knee pads, but that's only one of the wesome feature that they've got (although the first time you kneel on a BB, they pretty much pay for themselves). - Tunnel waistband moves with you, rather than the adjustment tabs under your kidneys that never stay where you set them anyways... - Velcro closures on pockets where the BDU has button closures. Easy access! I HATE button closures, especially on cargo pockets. 65/35 Poly-cotton ripstop with a Teflon finish on them to keep stains off, and if they do snag, they're not going to blow out catastrophically. Cargo pockets are internally divided, can take BBS pouches, and the inboard pockets are the perfect size for AR mags. Either way, it's nice to have pockets that are organized, rather than have everything rattling around while you run. I've got two full sets of TDUs, and I can honestly say I prefer them over any brand of BDU-style combats I've worn (Propper, Tru-Spec, Crye field pants and jacket replicas).

The self-adjusting Waist is indeed a feature that should be mandatory on all Pants. Best update ever to a clothing item, it's soo comfortable!
I don't even use mine for airsoft, I took the Pads out and wear them as everyday Cargoes. Large Side Pockets with internal elastic dividers are also worth mentioning. Definitely worth it! |
