Building a Custom AK47
Would it be possible to build my very own custom AK47 by getting the following parts or will I actually need to purchase a doner AK47 first? Also, if I'm missing a crucial part, can you please let me know where to get it?
G&P AK Metal Body Package Guarder Wood Stock Kit G&P AK Selector Set Tokyo Marui AK47/S Part #7 Tokyo Marui AK47/S Part #6 Tokyo Marui AK47/S Hop Up Assembly Part #AK-24 Systema Hop Bucking Prometheus 6.03 EG Barrel for AK47 / AK47S (455mm) Action AK 9mm Bearing Gearbox Set (Rear) Systema Long Type Turbo Motor |

Yeah, that's what i figured. Cause I wouldn't know where to get the screws from anyhow. Oh well, guess I'll have to buy an Aftermath Kraken then. Thanks!

My friend recently ordered an AK47 metal receiver set from AirsoftGlobal in Hong Kong and it went right through Customs. It wasn't even at Customs for an entire day, it went right through. Same for me when I ordered my metal receiver for my SIG 552. Customs will only seize it if it is an entire airsoft gun. Besides, if it ever does get seized, just send them a letter saying that it's for an airsoft gun. That's what I had to do when I ordered my metal slide and frame for my Desert Eagle and they released it to me right away.

No, these are just random chances. Airsoft metal receivers will not pass freely through the border. Customs can and generally will seize and not release these items. Nobody here condones trying to import such items, but what you do with your money is your choice.
Short answer, NO, you cannot order a metal receiver.

No.
That is still smuggling. There are not enough customs officers to check every parcel, just like people still sell/buy crack because there aren't enough police around to check every alley.

Everyone is forgetting something. Some receivers do not look anything like a receiver. ie AK fronts and lowers (AR lowers won't work, they look like a gun) and MP5 full receivers, especially if they are shipped as another item (yes that can be requested on ordering). before you say no it can't be done, yes its worked multiple times. however there is the chance a customs officer will get wise, but with so many packages going through, likely no one will bother over a "bracket" or "tool holder" etc. Smuggling, well yes. possible, yes.

When I ordered my metal slide and frame set for my desert eagle, it was seized by Customs. I received a letter in the mail stating that it was seized. So I wrote a letter saying that it was for an airsoft gun and can't be modified in any way to fit its real counter part and sent it back to the return address of the Customs letter. A couple days later I received the metal slide and frame set in the mail. Don't know if the Customs officer was just being nice though. But my SIG 552 metal receiver went right through. So if I ever wanted to get another metal receiver or slide and frame set, I would do it again without thinking twice about it.
