Question M16 VN Trademarks

Hi everyone, this is my first thread. I've been interested in Airsoft for under a year and I have just joined ASC recently. I'm not a complete noob to the website or Airsoft, I've been wandering around here for a good month for two reading up on what I can. I am still underaged but I have done my research about laws, importation, weapons, basic tips etc. and I am doing a little bit of light reading about the internals of guns and how to upgrade .

Anyway, on to the point of this thread. I have found a new love. The M16-VN (Not the A1, sexy tulip flash hider is what sealed the deal in my heart ). I know that quite a few companies manufacture/distribute this weapon (Tokyo Marui, JG, G&P[or G&G, one of those two] etc). I have researched all the specs. of each model (Obviously JG and Echo 1 are the same) and I am quite geared towards the JG version. However, this is where a dilema sets in. I can't seem to find decent pictures that display the trademarks of the reciever of each weapon.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the TM VN has the trademarks stamped into the side of the reciever? The Echo 1 version has them engraved and/or painted/filled in? The G&P has them laser engraved/painted? And the JG has them engraved...Maybe (I can't find a clear picture of the reciever). Anyone who has experience with these models care to help out?

Holy, that was fast! Thanks for the reply! When I started this thread I was thinking "Alright, let's just sit back and relax, I probably won't get an answer for another couple of days or weeks..."

Haha! YUS! MS PAINT! I haven't installed Photoshop on my new computer yet. I don't really have any problems with my noob sig. Thanks for the offer, maybe I'll take it up when I need some 1337 photoshop skills! (I have none as of now)

Wow another reply! Yes, I envy your Hurricane Metal body! When I read the VN recievers were plastic it turned me off of them a bit. Um, it's alright, don't want to hassle you too much, thanks for the offer though. I heard G&G [G&P] manufactured Metal M16 bodies that were compatible with the A1 and VN, any confirmation? Are they available in Canada?

Sir, I applaud your research and intelligence.
Noobs around here like that are far and few between.

A G&P metal body will run you around $250-ish in Canada, if you can get one.

Thank you Styrak, when I first started looking around on here I told myself "Holy crap, I am NEVER going to be like that noob and ask the WORST questions, or be the complete asshat!"

Ahhh, I see, I just looked them up on 007. So that other post was kind of pointless. The description on 007 says that they are only compatible with A2 and up? Unless Ken didn't mention A1/VN compatibility...

Yeah it basically gets eye fucked whenever I play her in a game Love that gun, its finished as of this year, custom VN basically, all new fully tuned internals, custom paint on the furniture, ect.

To answer your other question, the only metal body that will work on a TM VN is a A1 body, only one of those to my knowledge is Hurricane, so yep call me a bastard for having one rare peice

I should take some pics of it later, if u didnt notice its the one in my sig picture im shooting.

Haha, how old is she? Are you going to sell her? (Not asking to buy...Obviously ) The receiver alone would be worth quite a bit! 007 has them in their "catalouge" but who knows when and if they'll get them in .

Bastard ... Just kidding . Really? I could have sworn I saw an article somewhere that said there was a G&G or G&P Full Metal M16 A1/VN Body ... Maybe they were just annoucing it or something... I'll try and find the site again...

P226 is a beast with that 6.01 and the beautiful internals. The SR16 is quite a good design. Excellent for optimizing your game strategy to the game type.
