Kraken AK-47 Questions And Concerns
Hey guys, I have a bit of money to spend on airsoft and while I am getting in the process of getting A-V'd I am considering buying a kraken ak47.
The first thing is the gun in general So far, from what I have heard the kraken is reliable, tough, and a good value. The problems I have heard of are that the semi-auto position sometimes is a problem when trying to switch back and forth from semi to auto. Is there anything else? As long as it functions right and doesn't break easily. (I understand the internals are of good quality) Is this a good gun to buy? The next thing is about buyairsoft.ca I know that lots of people get confused orders and such, but does buying a kraken from there affect the gun? would it be just the same as buying one here in the classified section? I have ordered another gun from BA it was a spring shotgun made of ABS Plastic and it still works fine after a year. And I don't even mind a mix-up of guns because I am in no hurry, in fact I would probably get free merchandise. I am also buying the 600 round metal magazine and the upgradd Intellect 8.4v 1400 mAh battery. Do you think this is advisable? The service is not the biggest deal for me. It is the quality of the product. Any opinions or ideas will be helpful. |

Most people on ASC will agree, stay far away from buyairsoft.ca.
If you're 'in the process' of getting age verified, just wait. The classifieds have many high quality AEGs, GBBs and Springers. Don't waste your money on buyairsoft.ca |

I rushed through the sign up process and put in random information.
I currently reside in Peachland, BC about 15 mins away from the kelowna bridge. |

Welcome New user, your secondary account was not needed as details to your first could have been edited.
If you have not already I would like to recommend that you take some time to read through the "so you bought a kraken" thread. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...=bought+kraken As for magazines and batteries. If you have the patience I suggest you order from out of country for those items. Magazines can be aquired from many retailers all across the world, as for which ones are compatable I cant tell you as exactly. However that information may be available in the link provided above. As for batteries the general recommended battery website for most of the users on this website is http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/?sid=1185166 . They have a wide variety of packs and can even custom build packs to your specifacations. They are inexpensive and provide quality service with quality battery packs. Your choice for an 8.4V 1400 mah is decent choice. Atleast in my opinion, Im not an AK variant user, but I have handled them before. The voltage and mah should be more than sufficient to power your needs. As for the kraken itself and purchase it from buyairsoft if you wish, But once you have completed the age verifacation process perhaps there would be someone in your province who would be kind enough to tell you where you could aquire one in a store. As it has been known that some places do sell them over the counter. Welcome to the website and best of luck. Also be warned as some people on this website like to attempt to help and give information when they have no actual first hand experiance and in most instances could not tell the differance between their face and their ass even if they were shown a picture. In regards to airsoft there is alot of information to learn but it all cant be picked up in a few times, it takes time. Eventually things will begin to make more sense and you will gain the knowledge to make clear and concise choices.

I have noticed that high cap mags from Ak's and other sub machine guns are rather noisy because all the loose BBs moving around in them.
But that would be only a concern for someone who wants to be stealthy. |

Here is a noobie question. Is it fine to use soft air BBs in the kraken? I just dont want to ruin my new weapon with them, and if it depends on anything, please let me know.
