compression release noises?
I'm not sure if its normal or if there's a problem, but whenever i fire my m4 it makes a loud thump after firing almost like a very hard release(kind of like its hitting metal sort of sound). The gun is stock so there's no upgrades. My bro's 552 is stock and very quiet compared to mine so thats why i was curious... I know its normal for a thump from the release of the spring obviously but it just seems louder than it should be.

Hard to tell really. I doubt anything's really wrong with it as it's stock. The pads on the stock cylinder heads aren't really designed with noise reduction in mind.

AIM.. its a TM clone. Yea its probably just a harder cylinder head pad.. but i was just kinda worried cause it seems louder than normal. Not really a big deal tho as im going to buy a new complete gearbox for it in the near future.

There's your problem. Those guns aren't designed with longevity in mind... I wouldn't be surprised if you had a potmetal piston head hitting a potmental cylinder head.
