it might..but my biggest fear was twisting too hard and breaking something inside...you really have to twist extremely hard and its difficult to grip the barrel without taking it out, you probably dont want to just hold the body to oppose your twisting on the flash-hider because you might mangle the grub screws that hold the outer barrel in place or even the gas-tube section. Its really easy to get the barrel out, 2 screws in the lower rail and 2 grubs in the barrel inside the receiver. Once i got the barrel out it took me less than a minute to get the hider off. Whatever you decide just be careful.

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=1984 looks like it will fit right? |

It does look like it will fit, and it says that it will fit a standard birdcage flash-hider. The scar does have a birdcage flash-hider but im not sure if its standard, there are some slight differences. But from what i can see it should fit. You can do whatever you wish, but trust me getting the barrel out is very simple, and once its out all you need is a little elbow grease and you're set. But if you're planning on getting the QD anyway, then you can save yourself the effort and just leave it.
However, i'm not positive but I think silencers are on the list of items that are restricted from coming through customs, you may want to check that. *Edit- Just checked and in the FAQ's and it does indeed state that you cannot import suppressors. I removed my flashider on my g&G scar by simply puting something trough hit, in the cracks, something like a thin screwdriver or anything that fits in the cracks. Then you have to unscrew hit by forcing a little. Really easy when you do it like that.
