Customs - Airsoft Parts
I'm heading over to Hong Kong to buy some AEG accessories, not guns. What can I bring back and what can I not bring back? I think I remember hearing that you can't bring back metal bodies or even some magazines with fake rounds. How about replica aimpoints/eotechs?

Reading the import FAQ would be a good place to start.

I don't think you will have problems with parts. Batteries and green gas I think are prohibited in most airlines.

You can't take batteries on a plane?

Batteries are allowed on the airplane are long as they are not in large quantities. From what i know batteries must be kept in your carry on and not in your checked luggage.
Conditions & Limitations can be found here: http://www.news.com/8301-10784_3-9838306-7.html More info is here: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtrav...batteries.shtm http://safetravel.dot.gov/whats_new_batteries.html Last edited by Koreanboy_91; May 2nd, 2008 at 00:30.. |

does that go for parts too? I'm thinking of getting a replica aimpoint/eotech but must it be a carry-on or in the checked luggage?

Nothing illegal about optics. Better to put it in your checked bag to avoid being asked to turn it on during the screening.
