Kraken AK Flashider
Hey Guys:
On the Kraken AK, once you remove the orange flashider that comes with the AEG, there's a buncha gunk (probably glue that they used to hold the flashider on) that's very difficult to get off. It covers the threads on the tip of the barrel, so i'm having some trouble getting a flashider on. Just wondering if anyone's been successful at getting that layer of glue off of the threads. How did you do it? Thanks! |

If the barrel isn't plastic, you could use fire to get rid of the glue. Beware though, burning glue usually smells pretty bad. If you can't manage to burn all of it off though, make sure you scrape the leftovers before it cools.
Use this as a last resort though, I haven't tried it on anything threaded but fire almost always helps me remove old glue

Acetone (nail polish remover) usually works well also.

Re-thread set... That's always your best option for not screwing up threads..
