Beta Top Cover -> AK47?

I am interested in replacing the current AK47 sites with the sites on a 74U. I find them to be easier to use, and over all better.

I found this : http://www.uncompany.com/pageproduct...sp?prodid=6578

Will this fit onto my TM AK47 and replace my current sites?

I agree, that really looks like it needs sights mounted on it. Is the piece just for conversion or is it really supposed to be the 74u sights?

Im not sure if it needs sights attached because from what I have seen on the internet and pictures you use a gap between two peices of metal and line it up with the barrel sight at the end of your gun. The gap can be found between the round part of the 74U sight.

Im not sure about anything for this, so please if you can, fill me in.

From what I remember when handling one of these Beta top covers - yes it has an AKS-74U type rear sight on there, infact you can see the rear sight blade in the picture if you look hard enough. And it is a drop in replacement to the regular top cover.

Awsome! Thanks for your help! So I can just purchase this and replace it with the AK47 top cover and will be good to go? Or are the top covers diffrent length?

Yes, thus me saying "drop in replacement".

My bad.

Thanks for all of your help. I really appreciate it. With your experience, do you find the 74U sights better then the 47 sights or are they both very horrible?

How dare you insult any part of the Kalashnikov

I haven't looked through 74U sights long enough to compare, never owned a set myself. All 5 of my AK's use regular sights, except one has German night sights installed over it. I see nothing wrong with the standard AK sights.

Why do you find 74U sights better? Because the notch is deeper?

In airsoft, the sights on an AK are good, but real steel, they're too close together for any long distance.
