My dad taught me the basics of shooting when I was 12, for the most part it was 1911 BB pistol in the basement. He taught me how to breathe, shoot, I got good. Then in return I taught him how to box since it seemed the CF had failed him in that respect of training (he was a Captain and was in Signals). Was fun when he brought home a 'medicine bag' from work when he was stationed at CFS Carp, he'd hold it while I practised what I learned at boxing and jujitsu lessons, and then I'd hold it and teach him how to box. Most fun was slapping him in the ribs because his elbows kept rising up constantly! Musta been an old Welsh fighting technique still corrupting him or something.

He doesn't find this gun wimpy at all compared to mine. It's actually a pretty good ROF for a gun like that. The only thing he said he doesn't like as much is that the grip is fatter than on his F4 and he can't reach the selector switch with his thumb. Other than that, he totally loves it, and loves the fact that it looks exactly like mine. It even has trademarks (which mine doesn't have). He suggested that we should fill in with white crayon "like dad's guns".
And the little bugger shoots pretty accurately too. The accuracy on his F4 is ok, but this thing just kills it because of its adjustable hopup. I dialed it in just right for him with a couple of shots, and then it was all up to him. Normally I print out targets, but I ran out of ink, so I just used a marker to make a black dot the size of a toonie on a piece of paper and got him to aim for that. By the time I got the batteries in the camera and started the video, he had already unloaded a couple of mags 'loads' (30 rounds per load) into the target and had pretty much cut out the "bullseye" I had drawn. YouTube - My son shooting his Tokyo Marui MP5 Boy's I'll take a few closeup shots of the gun and post them in a bit too.

Thought I'd toss in a few pics while I was at it. Looks about as real as it gets when you don't have a frame of reference for the size.
