The G3 series

Lately my mind has been whirling about getting a new gun and I can't get over how sleek and sexy a G3 is. After looking at it a bit, I knew I wanted one, but I'm seeing a few problems.

Now, the original G3 (The one with the green colored butt stock and front grip) seems to be discontinued on every site I goto. I've also heard word of the G3 series in general being discontinued for mixed reasons. Sure, I can go with a G3 SG/1 which seems readily available, but am I the only one that thinks the original G3 with its green stock is the sleekest thing ever?

Anyway, to make it short I'm asking two questions. #1: What's REALLY going on with the G3 series, and #2: Where can I go to find some good deals on makes and models of the G3 series, and if the original exists where can I buy that?

Please and thank you.

As far as I know, TM is still making the G3-SG1. Classic Army has a line of G3s, (SAR Taktik line), including the A3 and SG1

Buy one of the classic army series G3, if you buy the TM your just going to buy a CA metal body for it later on anyway

Well I haven't been able to find a site that sells the CA G3. I usually goto 007 but I've looked elsewhere too.

Send 007 an e-mail, he can probably get it for you.

Thanks. I'll give him a try.

Since we're on topic about it, has anyone heard or discovered any problems with the G3?

ya i would have to say to get the CA version. see i am a believer that TM has the best internals and while CA is good, it is in need of some upgrades off the bat. that being said, while that can be pricy, in this instance it would be even more expensive to upgrade the TM with a metal body. go with the CA.

the problem with the older version of the CA G3 (most the M41 and the tarkitII) is the stock and this problem of breaking but i hear they have fixed the problem know.

Thats a nice looking G3 right there.

I'm thinking of doing some similar stuff to my HK416.

Get a G3 A4 and put a full stock on it. I believe you can still get that part for it and the colouring is the same as the A3. I used to have an A4 and I loved it to death. Now I have an SG1 with a PSG1 stock on it. It's a beast.
