Tippmann Airsoft

A friend of mine owns a paintball store and is bringing in some Tippmann airsoft stuff. Has anyone seen these things in action? Anyone know anything about their quality?

They are really inexpensive, and I am considering picking up a GBB pistol.

They're chinese rebrands. Don't believe they're too good.

They make two co2 pistols, one "green gas" pistol, and a spring shotgun. Not very much selection and they're all fugly in my opinion compared to what's out there. The co2 glock rip off has an ugly extension on the mag for the co2 cartridge.

They are REALLY bad! I had a Tippman AK47 in my hands (belonged to Danonymous) for a while, not even sure if it shot over 200fps with 0.12g BBs (without any hop up) but if you dialed in even a bit of hop up (and using 0.12g) the range dropped to literally 10ft or so, the BBs fly out the barrel and drop fast. And I wasn't kidding about 10ft range, am 100% serious. And the internals aren't compatible with any other parts you might consider putting it.

So, either this one was fubar'd out of the box, or they are all like this.

Total waste of $200.

I too have the Ak-47
Out of the box I'm be afraid to game the thing (Plastic mechbox)
But so far what I've seen it is compatible, not 100% sure but I've had parts here and there change through-out and so far little off here and there but still good. If all else fails I plan to pick up a better Ak-47 and throw the metal body from the tippmann on the new one.

Mag is compatible with TM, and as far as the mechbox goes, I haven't personally taken it apart but Foxtail did to a point and said he didn't see anything recognisable in the mechbox that might be TM or aftermarket compatible.

i used to play paintball and tippmans always sucked. the ONLY cool thing they had was this thing called a drop barrel for their model98. its pretty comparable to a hop up on steroids...making the balls drop at a predetermined distance to make bunkering people a whole lot easier. it still, however, didnt make up for how shitty the guns are.
