it increases airflow period. More air volume being pushed through in the same time span = more FPS.
I've never used one myself but I have it from a very good gunsmith that it increases fps by quite a bit in a situation where you don't want alot of force acting on your gearbox. So if you want to shoot a TM up to 350fps but don't want to break the shell, a bore up kit is a good idea. |

anyone know where i can find a CA 249 mechbox??? I want to drop one in my TOP (if that is even possible) but I can't find a complete box on any sights

The bore up kit is a safe way to increase FPS without putting extra strain on the gearbox by upgrading the spring.
Theres lots of upgrades you can do to increase FPS without changing out the spring; the boreup just offers the Greatest increase of such upgrades.
