Metal 1911s For ~$400?

Am I limited to WEs or do I have other options.....I really want to have a 1911 single stacker(preferably with trades) to go with the 2011 style Hi-Capa, but having heard much horror story about WE I am not sure if that's possible...

Buy a different 1911 and put on a metal slide and barrel, if you can find one.

my friend had a WE and it was great never gave him a single problem, well built and shot like a laser.

If you don't want to try the WE1911, try the KJW1911. Unlike the WE1911, the KJW1911 is 100% clone of the TM1911, so you can use TM mags.

I could swear the WE 1911 can use TM mags.

As for WE's 1911's, I got it 2nd hand and have had zero problems with it.

Buy a WA 1911 SCW. Plastic but has the weight and feel of a metal one. Best handgun ever :P

TM 1911's are $300 + your choice of a wide variety of Guarder aluminum slides starting from $50 US (eBay).

You can run the gun on propane until the slide breaks (may take a while), then you can get a metal slide and new recoil/hammer springs.

Enjoy a nice crisp abs gun until you need to upgrade.

I have a WA and WE and my WE is better lol,yeh thats pretty bad and the WE is about three years old to boot (It's a 5.1 Hi-capa K model).
