The KA FAL
So, while watching the border wars video, this guy caught my attention:
After asking my local buds at windsor airsoft forums, the conclusion was that it is an FN FAL with wood furnishing. Now, i have no idea if the guy that owns that rifle is on this forum, i suspect he probably is, but i have to say, amazing looking gun. After doing some searching, i found real steel wood furnishing for 20bucks US: http://www.northridgeinc.com/I_fnfal_accessories.htm (as well as real steel sling, which i have read in some reviews that it doesnt work, and i should just ebay myself a nylon sling) and some more searching, i found 185dollar wood furnishing: http://www.dsarms.com/prodinfo.asp?number=EWFSL1A1 I also found numerous reviews... All making me inch toward wanting one real bad... However, the only way i would want it, is to get the wood furnishing. Now, I have read about the mag well, and apparently some filing can solve the issues with the mag catch and whatnot... And i have learned a lot. Now, the first link is the wood real steal furnishing, and the second link, is that real steal, or airsoft? I'm guessing that is also real steal wood kit? How would battery placement work then? I have read that the stock is hollowed out for the L1A1 cleaning kit and whatnot, but that is not big enough to hold a large battery... How could i do it so that it would fit a large battery? And also, if this is you in the picture, very cool man, Maybe you could share with me what it took to get your gun looking so bad ass? Thanks in advance guys, have a great day! -Blockist PS. Sorry if i did not post this in the correct forum, was not sure where it should go. Last edited by blockist; December 5th, 2007 at 06:52.. |

Steel, not steal. There is no theft involved (I hope).
For real wood meant for a real gun, you may have to do a lot of carving. If you have that skill, go for it. I want a KA FAL too, but am waiting until I read more about it or see one in person. I just love my Dragunov. |

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

Darkalman is putting a wood kit on his FAL, the front handguard needed to be modified a little, the Stock needs too much work so we're just making a 2 piece stock from scratch and the pistol grip as well.
Suffice it to say real steel furniture doesn't often fit well on airsoft guns. |
