I suppose you can put a 4.3 grip on a 5.1 - you'd just be forced to switch to a single sided safety.
Anyways, yeah... like the Saint said: impossible to find the 4.3 version. |

I've got replica Simonich Gunner Grips on my WA P14-45 and they weren't cut for ambi safety. You can simply grind away the plastic until the safety is able to freely move. Hope that helps.

RS grips for ambi safeties just have the little chunk cut out on the right side to allow for the tang
so yeah...anyway, I popped in the stock guiderod to see what it would look like and it does kinda look nicer with the silver guiderod =p so if anyone wants to trade a steel black guiderod for a steel silver one, pm me heh also added a checked slide release by Rock River Arms to match the checked mag release kind of a bitch to fit RS slide releases the hicapa grip in the back is an old one I was messing around with I managed to get a steel MSH from STI international to fit; definitely ups the weight, also it is also kind of a PITA to get to fit Last edited by Shinjin_MC; September 1st, 2007 at 15:35.. |

installed green on green tritium Trijicon Novaks, and disabled the beavertail safety, in process of pinning it
also need to remove nicks from installing the sight =/ probably will do the slide top in black for more of a two toned look |

Why do you want to disable the beaver? Having just one safety, which isn't very hard to disengage, is kinda worrisome.. For me atleast.
EDIT: I'd love to get a RS mainspring housing on my SV.. I need a dremel.. really bad |

I feel that I get a more positive, consistant hold on the grip with the beaver disabled
on TM hicapas, the beavertail tends to walk after a bit anyway, and if you squeeze the trigger hard enough it will still fire I dont keep my pistol cocked and locked anyway, so having a pinned safety isnt too much of a concern for me dont forget to get the plunger cap and the retaining pin with the MSH! I forgot to order those @ the same time as that STI MSH and it was annoying having to wait for em |

yeah
=/ TM's hicapa pisses me off cause of the inability to decock past the half cock its pretty fixable, but still annoying thmb safeties tend to have a bit more play after you pop through loads of rounds, even in RS 1911's so I just said screw it, and made the neccessary adjustments to have hammer down activation lol definitely post up your 2011 project when you get onto it eh! I love 1911's and 2011s =D |
