SAFE/SEMI/AUTO Selector

I just received my CA M15A4 and I'm having a question. When I move the SAFE/SEMI/AUTO selector, on the other side, it doesn't move. Is it normal?

On the picture, you can see the selector to semi, and it always stay there even if the mode selected is safe...

Yeah on an airsoft Armalite that's normal. The right hand selector is just a decoration. The selector (one on the left side) moves a plate on the gearbox, it doesn't actually "pass through" the gun.

That part isn't part of the selector, and it shouldn't move.

Just keep the gun set to Semi at all times and it'll look fine.
