Shooting at aerials with a pistol

Might want to try shooting at pop cans with your airsoft pistol to improve your shooting skill.

Here a link to a Utube video:
YouTube - Point Shooting at Aerials

If you turn up the volume, you can heard the 'cronnk' sound of the hits made as the gun is pointed and the trigger pulled. There are 7 out of 7 hits in the video. The distance was about 12 feet.

Here's a pic of the gun used. Not pretty but gets the job done.

And here's one of a recently acquired and modified rig.

Cool, never thought of that before. I've shot lot of cans, prefer hanging pie tins for AEG to GBB transistion drills, bottle caps with my sniper rifle, and hanging extension cords with my GBBs, all at 30ft.

My dad used to hang toilet paper rolls in hong kong...but then he also pockmarked our wall to the point where it was like the complexion of a fast food working teenager...

its the "point shoot" technique
the thing on the gun is to prevent the index finger that rides along the frame of the gun to interfere with the movement of the slide

I believe it's to change the placement of the trigger so that you operate it with your middle finger instead of your index finger (which is pointing at the target).

yup
its pretty much shooting it paintball style
which works better at placing shots on target faster at extremely close ranges, using the more natural kinesthetics of how the body can accurately point the index finger at something very quickly

edit:
well...5shot has pretty much all the info you need in the link in his sig

You can get the same results by pointing with your supporting hand's thumb. They both work pretty much the damn same .. Plus, I'd rather have that extra finger supporting the pistol, when firing .45 +p loads-one handed.

Also, I've never heard of this style in any of my "how-to" books. This may be an effective style with low power loads, but when it comes to heavy loads, and quick trigger pulling, I'll take Mr.Lawrence's (Former-Delta. Founder of "Blackheart Intl." ) advice.

apparantly it has its roots in some US army manual way back when
but theoretically, in extremely close situations, it does take slightly more time to present the isosceles, weaver, etc than it does to whip out the pistol and paintball trigger someone, especially for someone who doesnt have the practice

yeah..Isosceles for me too
=D
