Longer tightbore inner barrel, high flow valve, stronger gas, matching springs, and reinforced parts to handle the power increase.
"max fps" is subjective to a lot of things, including what parts are upgraded, what gas you're using, the weight of the BB used, the barrel length, the ambient temperature, and most importantly - what gun platform you're upgrading. FYI, the highest I've ever gotten a KSC G19 is 360fps, although I think I can push it above 400. I've successfully gotten a Hi-Capa to put out 1.54 Joules, which is equivalent to 407fps with 0.20g BBs. |

Its true that heavier bb's push out more velocity from a GBB because of the more pressure from the gas needed to shoot it correct Brian?

"power ups"??? Are these like floating, glowing artifacts you find on the airsoft field that makes your gun better?

Yup. Gas guns will push out heavier BBs with higher Joule ratings than an electric or spring gun can.

Sorry I have to say this, but doesnt anyone find two seperate threads about the use of Metal BB's and another about maxing out the power of GBB just alittle suspicious?

It's stupid, is what it is. If he wants to put out power that hurts, he should just buy a REAL bb or pellet gun.
Airsoft isn't meant to hurt or maim. Trying to push it to do so would be a pretty expensive project... |

haha. its purely for research reasons.
i have a friend who dissagrees with airsoft and laughs them off. i belive they are an enginering master piece with room for improvement. they are far better than paintball as they are realistic and fun to use. |

Perhaps, however in their current state they function exactly as they should for the application they are intended.
If you want a replica that shoots at high speeds with more accuracy, just go with pellet guns. |
