G36C Help!!!

I tried to put in a M110SP spring into my G36C last night. Spent 4 hours trying to get it working. I have a 8.4v battery. The gun sounds like it is pulling the spring back part of the way but not releasing. I have no idea what to do here. If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

I think your timing is off. The gear that moves the piston has a little piece that
comes out to move the tappet plate. With the mechbox motor towards you
and the upper at 12 o'clock the little nub should sit at around 1 o'clock.

Also what Mah is your battery? If its a mini I dont really think 600mah will turn
that. Also check to make sure its fully charged. Also was the piston all the
way forward when you put it back in and lined up with the ridges on the sides
so it will flow smoothly?

You just opened the timing can of worms Hazard! Actually, as long as you keep the toothed section of the sector gear well away from the piston, the gun will work no problem.

Am not sure the brand of 110 spring he installed, but I have a Prometheus 110SP in my other MP5, and both my Intellect NiMH 8.4V 1400mAh and my Sanyo NiCad 8.4V 600mAh mini will cycle it just fine.

As for the problem at hand, I'm gonna have to think about it, sounds like either the spring is a Guarder or Systema and is too strong for the battery, the battery needs to be charged, or the mechbox was put together wrong (such as the piston grooves aren't sitting in the rails or something.)

the battery might not be providing enough power to pull the spring back, I know in my G3 it's possible to fire a few rounds with a mini battery, but it often jams with the piston all the way back because it can't pull it that extra 1/4"
do you have a large battery you could try?

1. No I dont have a large battery to try out.
2. I did the timing to the best of my ability. (mechbox.com helped)
3. My gears moved freely with the shimming I did.
4. I give up. I'm going to just put the stock spring back in for now. Thanks for all the help though. I'll try again when I have a new battery and maybe some other stuff. Thanks again.

I seem to be having this problem as well. However mine kicks in after a certain period. For example it seems like after 800ish rounds fired, the piston is locked backwards, and doesnt fire. I dangerously open the mech to reset the spring and needless to say this has ruined my spring since it is full compressed for a while (until the mech is opened). Im running a PDI 140%, and its powered by a mini, 1500mah Elite. Upgrades: Systema piston, guarder spring guide + piston head. All other parts stock (CA G36)

Stupid question probably but is the battery still good? It sounds like a dead battery syndrome...

I have an MS110 with a 9.6v large and I can shoot all day....

could be the motor too, make sure your shims arent getting in the way of any moving parts, I still reccommend trying a 9.6v or 8.4v large battery, as my G3 does the same thing when using an 8.4v 1400mah mini battery
