Piston Sear is not catching. (VSR-10)
I'm having trouble with some of my upgrades and I think my piston sear is not catching the piston. I have put in a new trigger sear and a piston sear made by Laylax. I know it isnt' a problem with the piston because I have tried the upgraded one and the stock one and neither have nicks in them. I've retightened the trigger assembly which some people said help, but it didn't help. Is it possible that my piston sear spring is just not high enough up? It still "pops up" when I push it down but I don't know if it is strong enough. I tried doing it with the upgraded spring, spring guide and piston but now I'm just trying to get it to shoot stock again to make sure that this problem is fixed so all the parts in the cylinder are stock for now.
I've been trying to fix this problem for days now and I'm gettind desperate, I don't want to send an over $600 project down the drain because of such a problem. Now I've been searching and some people have said to shave off part of the receiver to get the piston sear to come up more, if so what part am I fileing down |

Have you tried getting the Zero Trigger that is highly recommended as the first upgrade to the VSR-10?

Alright. Do you have the metal spring guide? If so unscrew it and put some thread lock in there. What happens is it unscrews and hits the back of the piston so it cant catch. Check and then wipe down all sears because if they get a little bit of il on them they don't like to catch. If this doesn't help I would get a zero trigger its the best upgrade I got for mine by far. If you have any more questions feel free to pm me and i will see what I can do.
