Guarder C8 metal body
so im puting my winter project gun together and i picked up the guarder C8 body but now i cant get the top to connect with the bottem when my mechbox is in it.
It is a stock TM mechbox with goodies inside and the top reciever runs right into the selector plate and i dont want to force it but i cant figure it out. everything else installed fine, but the mags are really hard to slide in and out so i have to dremel that out too.

Are you following the Guarder instructions?
http://www.intrudershop.com/show_pro...?idproduct=789 You're gonna have to give it a good "tunking" to get the two halves together. |

it's best to file the inside edges of the tabs to an angle so that they slide over the bushings and selector plate easier. also, you can file larger holes for the selector to snap into, they seem to be too close to the axis. is there a notch cut into the lower receiver in between the holes for the front pin? you might want to cut one if it's not cut already (ascarmoury bodies come pre-modified). this allows for the hopup feed to clear the body during assembly. also if you want the furniture to work well, grease up the outside of the charging handle where it makes contact with the body, and file out the corners of the long channel where the mechbox's "spine" passes through. i found that the mechbox sits pretty high in the body and presses onto the charging handle and dust cover, not allowing it to snap into place properly. also file the catch on the dust cover so that it's got a lower profile, this will let it snap in easier. i hope this can be of some use.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the hurricane kits also require "tunking". BTW I'm looking for a tunk tool; if anyone's got one, let me know. |

I think you're going to be posting in a Doctor's Corner in a personal health forum soon.

Seriously though, follow Guarder's instructions, step-by-step. If you put something together not in their correct order, things won't fit properly.
