If you want a paintball mask with mesh, why don't you just get the top part of the masks XT uses, without the bottom portion attached?
If you look at the standard Sansei masks they rent (not the low profile ones, they're one-piece) they're 2 part, zip-tied together.

Hey, thats not a bad idea, I'll have to look into that next time I'm there, I didn't realize they were 2 piece

I use Catcrap for anti-fogging and I must say it's pretty effective.
just spread a nice layer of it inside the lens and it never fogs, ever.

I tried using a Neoprene mask in XT...

I ended up with a busted lip and blood soaked neoprene....

IT was not pretty.
