Streamlight Tlr-2 Lube question
I was reading in my Streamlight instructions manual and it said that i had to lube my tensioning bolt with some type of high quality gun oil. So my question is
is Hopes 9 a high quality gun oil? and does anyone know of any good high quality gun oil brand names? |

Hoppe's #9 is not so much an oil as it is a solvent. I would not use it for lubrication.
G96 Gun Treatment is also a cleaner but isn't nearly as aggressive as Hoppe's #9 and has better lubrication properties. It also smells a LOT better. For true gun oil I use Militec-1. WARNING: Most real gun solvents and cleaners are NOT toy-gun friendly. Be careful how much you use and where. |
