First Factory Direct Silencer-AUG
First Factory FF-ACC-DSAAUGM First Factory Direct Silencer Attachment for AUG So I have this thing...got it through a trade. Can someone tell me how to get this on my AUG. Do I have to chop down the metal sleeve that goes around the inner barrel to get it on?

the pics help Illusion but my question now is how do I remove the aluminum like sheath that surrounds the inner barrel. It's not in the pics above. I have removed every screw and this thing isn't moving, do I have to just chop it off and what is there any danger in doing that?

Remove the inner barrel and cut the sleeve off. It won't cause any problems as long as you clean up after yourself. You may want to wrap some tape around the inner barrel if you're using it with the standard outer barrel (or H-BAR) because the inner will have a bit more wobble after you cut the sleeve.
*edit* I just remembered from my own installation, most H-BARs are machined such that you have to cut off some of the sleeve as well.

everything worked out great. I was just worried that I was doing some damage by taking that little pipe piece out. Thanks for the help, here is a pic...anyone got any idea what this would be called? Besides ugly.
Are there any positive thread flash hiders?

asside from the color mismatch...(nothing that a good old can of krylon can't do) this gun looks nice!
I would have used a shorter silencer and shortened the inner barrel for CQB use... but it's your gun! |
