Questions About M203 Shell Gas??

well i just recently ordered 3 GB-Tech M203 Shells, and i got my package yesterday(Nov 9th) now i understand from the research that i have done that they are best used with 134a gas. i baught some duster gas, Grand&Toy to be exact and it is Difluoroethane gas or 152a gas. 134a gas or Tetrafluoroethane gas as it is formaly know as is recommended and commanly used in airsoft guns.

so my question is, will there be a problem if i use 152a duster gas instead of 134a duster gas in my GB-Tech M203 Shells?

anyone have any experience with this?

Everyone I know uses propane in em with no problem.

Oh, that could very well be true but I figured the seals would go eventually anyway and I'd be swinging by Canadian Tire to grab some more o-rings

i need an adaper for the Duster gas, and AI Airsoft is shut down so, any other companies make adapters?

oh and is there any CDN Retailers that have 134a gas in, i have tryed the ones i know but nothing.... stupid costums shutting down all the good stores...

Carl/Madmax ran AI and he joined with Miles/Hojo to run ASCA, don't know if they have any stock left but check the sale section. Not too long ago I snagged an AI duster adapter from zone27 airsoft's closing sale.

this weekend i used propane in my GBtech shells and it was pretty cold out (7 degrees). when i went to refill my shells for the 6th time in about 30mins, 2 of my shells wouldnt hold any gas at all and the gas was going into the valves and coming streight out of the barrells. ALSO the shells get extreamly cold when this happens

i though to myself that the seals must have frozen and that it wasnt holding any gas because of that. i was using Silcone oil as well it that would help in solving my problem...

anyone have any experience with this happening?

Just as a little side note. I had two gb tech nades. I found the orings sucked ass so I replaced them with bigger ones. They were a bit harder to reset, but damn they held the gas well.

I got my at a hardware store, I just took the old ones in and did a side by side comparison and got a size up.

I have one thats a bitch to reset. Dont know how the internals work so I cant comment on whats going on with it but its a major pain in the butt to reset after each use. Have to press the button in REAL firm and then unscrew the bottom half of the shell one and a half rotations before the valve will close again.

all i have to do with mine is pull the plunger out and it resets, none of this half turn and other stuff, i do agree with the larger seals though, the seals are alittle tiny, and the seal you are talking about tankdude is the one on the plunger? or is there an other. also is it possiable to seperate the silver shell from the brown casing? i read it was but i dont see how its possible?

problem fixed, just had to tighten the silver part to the brown shell, tightening those to parts stoped the gas leak.

i figured out by myself that they just unscrew from one another, simple construction, and problem was easly fixed.
