broken upper reciever thingy
um... i have a TM m4a1. You know the pin and plastic loops at the back of the gun that connects the upper receiver to the lower receiver? well the plastics loops that hold the receiver together has broken and its causing my gun to fall apart in game. anyone know how to keep the receiver together.... other that glue =p

zip ties
string wire something to run through the holes and tie to the top of the upper receiver. that's the quickest, cheapest, easiest, and dirtiest solution. |

What I did was I made a replica of the tabs with stainless steal with two long metal "sticks". Then I drilled holes a little bit smaller than the sticks and then I heated up the metal sticks and pushed them into the holes and it was fixed. You might need to file the metal down after ward but it seams to be stronger than before. This is still more of a temporary thing untill you get a metal body but if you cannot afford a metal body right now this might be the way to go.
I'll put a picture on onces i get it. Okay here is a link to another tread that has pictures of it and some dimensions. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=11655 |
