Metal Slide Material for GBB
Hi there, I am wonder what sorts of material are used to make those GBB slides. I got a spare KSC G19 Slide from TW since I bought a new slide/barrel set to replace the barrel that was missing from my G19 deal from a member here. His slide has a custom trademark job so I am keeping the slide but I want to make a different slide with the spare. I am wondering if I were to sandblast the slide to get rid of the paint and keeping it as polished will I have rust problem long term if it is steel, or are these things aluminum.

I am about 95% sure that your slide is aluminum. They rarely make steel slides for glocks. So you dont have to worry about rust.

Sand blast it and buff it

I kinda like the just sandblasted texture of it, sorta like a matte silver. But its prone to scratches...what sort of clear I can use for that?
