muti tier optics.

any suggestions for a two tier or multifunctional optics system? (both a Red dot 1x and a maginified scope) like on G36's or Acogs with doctor sights? Both of those are a little out of my league $$$.

I believe duo optics are a great idea. Although in airsoft, it's hard to make a visually pleasing weapon with both combat functional duo optics.

What I mean is that most optics such as the G36 have such poor magnification optics that the eye-relief is too short to be used with goggles on. Even the ACOG and doctor-type sights is not effective because the ACOG's eye relief is poor.

Duo optics do not restrict the user to use either the ACOG or stock G36 scopes. You can always use other scopes but that would take away from the look of the weapon. The only visually pleasing, and military authentic looking duo-optics would be using a Replica Leupold and mounting a Doctor-type RDS on the railed scope ring. I prefer to use this set-up on a long rifle.

thanks vegas, however this application will be used on the p90, so a leupold might be a little over sized, however the pic of the scope ring with the weaver is a big help.

Why on earth would you need dual optics on a P90?!

Anyways, I've read good things about mounting RDS on the side with the primary scope on top. You don't have to shift as much to get a good view through either (lifting up breaks your cheekweld more than tilting sideways). So if it's the P90TR, then you're pretty much set.

im planning on building a long range varient, looking at 500 mm inner barrel so a 1.5x-4x would be good, plus im sure this thread will benifit others.

Where will you be buying the 1.5-4x scope? I'm looking to buy one also.

well so far the only 1.5x times scope i can find is the integrated g36 ones, so im kind intrested in buying the carrying handle, and sawing it off, problem is that it sucks for eye relief, and has the worst glare in the world. I was looking into ACOGs but they are primarily used on ARs, so they have a high profilem which would offset the p90. Ultimatley i think im just going to have to man up and make a choice between one or the other.
