Difference between old and new batches of ICS AK74m
Hey,
I just popped open my AK for a look, and was disappointed that I, too, have the turbo 2000 version. Can I ask what's the difference between the earlier and later releases? Is it just the motor? Do I have the other goodies? eg. Precision cut reinforced motor pinion gear and bevel gear, steel bushings? Thanks -Cuppo PS: Does anyone know where to get a turbo 3000 motor? |

Some of guns in early bathes had issues with side rails and bayonet lugs. From what I've heard they fixed that problem.

some early models shipped with the Turbo 2000 instead of the turbo 3000 motor.

I wouldnt worry about your motor just yet. Quality has been hit and miss with the turbo 2000's, however I have an original series ICS M4 RIS with a 2000 in it, and it's been going strong since early 2005. If it does byte the dust, a number of american retailers do carry it, google shows a whole whack.

Rear site was different and the newer version came with a ribbed cover and not the smooth one. |
