High FPS, but low range, why?
Hello all
i chronoed my gun at the last game i went to and its shooting at 375fps. But its range using .2 bb's is less than a stock TM gun. I think compression is ok in the gearbox as the FPS is high, Would some thing wrong in the barrel/ hop unit cause low range. im stuck as to what it could be? |

Try adjusting the hopup and or using .25's instead

If you've just recently put the gun together, sometimes your cylinder lube makes it's way onto the hop-up, rendering it ineffective. You may think you have it set right, but in fact it is not. You need to clean the barrel and hop-up with some silicone oil and keep swabbing it until the cloth comes out dry and clean.
Every second or third gun I reassemble suffers from this. Cleaning it solves the problem everytime.
